Our residential care is about welcoming people into a homely environment that is supportive, comfortable, safe and enjoyable. A place they can call ‘home’, where friends and family can visit. We provide accommodation, home cooked meals, domestic and personal assistance with our dedicated trained staff. Our aim is to ensure that all of our residents have the freedom to continue their daily life with dignity, privacy and choice.

 

The Residential Unit of the chimes first opened it's doors as a care home in 1988, the EMI Unit was purpose built in 2009. The Residential Unit has had Refurbishment to all the Rooms NOW AVAILABLE....Between 2013/2014, this includes new windows, carpets,furnture and fixtures.

The Chimes is a registered Dementia Care Home and whilst nursing care is not provided, arrangements for health provision are thorough. We pride ourselves on offering a professional care service for the elderly, with a personal touch where individuality is emphasised.At The Chimes, we try to maintain an open and creative mind and see the world as the person with dementia sees it in order to offer the richest care possible. We believe that caring for the person with Dementia involves working in partnership with the person their family, health care professionals and other carers to achieve the best possible quality of life for our residents.Each person’s experience of dementia is unique and not all approaches are appropriate for everyone. Sometimes all that is needed is to “be there”.All Care Staff within The Chimes are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care for persons with dementia.

 

Respite

 

The Chimes Provides short-term and time-limited temporary relief breaks for family members and un-paid regular carers caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.
